As mentioned in the introductory blurb, this is a privately maintained venture. It is something I have wanted to do for many years ... although something of an indulgence I admit. I have spent many working years in the City ... and it was not until I determined to develop this project (hopefully not too formal a description) that I had actually seen some of the gardens etc. It proved to be worth the wait though, if only for myself. Each garden offers its own individual enchantment. And the seasonal changes can be particularly dramatic.Prior to starting I must confess that I had doubts as to the merits of the project in hand ... these were soon dispelled (notwithstanding one tends to attract a few curious and not so curious stares), whilst walking around taking notes etc. That being said, the contents of this site will hopefully stimulate some interest and encourage others to visit some of these havens to experience the often extraordinary calm that may be found.I mentioned the idea to my mother many years ago ... she wholeheartedly approved and told me to get on with it. And so, the time came to finally do something ... it is only possible to put off today what you can do tomorrow for so long! You may see the results for yourself.
So ... thank you for dropping by. If you are moved to offer any comments (although if you are, please try to be kind) please contact me (M Robinson) at ... mmandm@hotmail.co.uk ...
